Our Story
CareTech Connect was founded by three friends who all shared the same realization:
too many people struggle with everyday technology, and most companies have stopped caring.
After years of working at AT&T, we saw firsthand how often people were left behind — especially older adults and families — not because they lacked intelligence, but because tech help became impersonal.
Endless hold music. Automated voices. Chatbots that don’t listen.
We knew there had to be a better way.
So we built it.
CareTech Connect was born from the desire to make tech support human again.
We don’t use AI to guess what you need.
We don’t outsource your call to another country.
Instead, we listen, explain, and connect — the way real people should.

Dakota Caudill — CEO & Founder
From a young age, Dakota has always loved helping people. Working at AT&T showed him just how many individuals struggle with everyday technology — and how few companies genuinely take the time to help.
With a passion for people and a vision for a more personal kind of tech service, he founded CareTech Connect to bring compassion and clarity back to technology.
His motto is simple: “Real people helping real people.”
Dakota Strunk — Co-Owner & Operations Lead
Dakota Strunk shares the same heart for connection and understanding. After working alongside Dakota Caudill at AT&T, he saw the same issue — people weren’t being heard.
He wanted to help create something better: a service that doesn’t rely on scripts or AI, but instead teaches, empowers, and supports through patience and trust.
Today, he ensures every part of CareTech Connect runs smoothly — from onboarding clients to managing our service team.
Zach Schmidt — Co-Owner & Senior Tech Specialist
Zach has always had a natural gift for technology — and for connecting with people. He thrives on solving problems and making tech feel less intimidating.
His goal has always been simple: do what he loves, while helping others.
At CareTech Connect, Zach combines his technical expertise with genuine empathy, helping clients feel confident, informed, and supported every step of the way.
